Whether you're planning an outdoor wedding, a small wedding in an intimate chapel, or a large ceremony and formal dinner reception, finding the right place to exchange your vows is one of the first and one of the most important decisions you will make in planning your Christian wedding.
Hope Community Church, located in the heart of the historic Platt Park neighborhood, opens its doors and welcomes couples looking for an affordable wedding site that suits their unique wedding style and dreams.
Three Wedding Ceremony Venues in One Location
Hope Community Church offers a choice of wedding facilities for your special day. Everyone has a vision for their event and our wedding sites and receptions areas can provide the perfect backdrop for your perfect ceremony.
Elegant Sanctuary
Built in the 1950s, the sanctuary at Hope Community Church is a showcase of the simple, elegant architecture of the era. It is the perfect wedding setting for a contemporary or traditional wedding because your event is set against a simple background that shows off your event. The ceremony, as well as the flowers and gown you've chosen, are the focus of the day.
The sanctuary seats 240 and has a sophisticated sound and lighting system.
Theater Chapel
The Theater Chapel is our intimate and more casual wedding venue for 75 or fewer guests. Newly remodeled, the focus of the room is a small stage with drapery. The room has a sound and lighting system and tables and chairs in side rooms. It also has sofas and upholstered chairs, should you wish to use them.
Small Outdoor Park
Hope Park, the outdoor park on our campus, offers a unique opportunity to hold a small, private outdoor wedding in the heart of Denver. Located on a quiet corner next to the church, the site has a large grassy area and landscaped borders along the south and east sides. Because it is private, you do not have to apply for park permits and no one else will use the park during your event.
Our park is small and suitable for weddings with up to 100 guests. You are welcome to put up a small tent, wedding cupola or other architectural feature for the ceremony. For small weddings, you may also hold your reception in the park.
A Wedding Reception Area to Suit Your Event
Similar to our variety of choice for your ceremony setting, Hope Community Church offers three reception areas to complete the wedding of your dreams.
A Beautiful, Large Wedding Reception Hall
Our recently remodeled and tastefully decorated wedding reception hall is ideal for large weddings. A grand piano is available and the stage can accommodate a small band. The lighting is on dimmers and can be adjusted by areas.
The spacious hall seats 240. Often couples choose a long, rectangular table for the head table and round tables for guests.
The professional kitchen, located just steps away between the large reception hall and the intimate theater/chapel room, is available for your caterer's use.
An Intimate Wedding Reception Room
Also recently remodeled, our theater/chapel venue is perfect for an intimate, seated reception for up to 50 people following a ceremony in the theater or the sanctuary. It is equipped with an audio-visual system, a small stage, a 50-inch, high definition television with computer link, sofas, upholstered chairs. Three small side rooms feature booth seating at tables for six.
The professional kitchen, located just steps away between the large reception hall and the intimate theater/chapel room, is available for your caterer's use.

Services for Your Special Occasion
When you choose Hope Community Church for your wedding, you will have an option of the services of an event coordinator to help you create a memorable occasion. Our wedding package includes two planning meetings, a rehearsal and the event. It also includes the use of our lighting and sound system. According to the space you choose, your coordinator will show you any additional resources included with your reservation.
Also, if you wish, one of our pastors can officiate at your ceremony and meet with you three times prior to the wedding.
Please contact our church office for our current affordable wedding prices and additional planning details, such as floral and decoration policies, kitchen use, and facility clean up. You may also inquiry about our facility usage for all other events.
